Jekyll Island

I had the opportunity to photograph two weddings in Georgia this year. I haven't spent much time in Georgia and what time I have spent there has usually been in the Atlanta area. This year, I had my first chance to see some of Georgia's beautiful coastal areas. Since my time there involved photographing a wedding, I didn't get to spend alot of time "site seeing", so after I returned to the room that night, we decided to go out and take some night photos. I also snapped a few the next morning on our way out.

We stayed at the Jekyll Club and this was the "cottage" that we stayed in. The grounds are beautiful with lots of spanish moss trees, tons of courtyards, fountains and gorgeous scenery.

This was a spanish moss tree off to the side, that for some reason I thought looked really neat, so I took a photo of it.

Driftwood Beach

We also rented a Redbug while we were there. For anyone traveling to Jekyll Island, I would suggest renting one. It is kind of like a golf cart, but kind of like a car. It makes you have fun just riding around in it- at least we did =)

If you want a place that has some really neat history, natural beauty and a place to relax and enjoy some time away from it all, this is the place to go.

Brittany and Daniel

Brittany and Daniel were married on Driftwood Beach located on Jekyl Island in Georgia. We started the day getting ready in her room.

They decided to see each other before the ceremony since the ceremony would be at sunset.

We took a few pictures on a path that led to Driftwood Beach.

The one below is probably my favorite from their day. The scenery is very pretty and unique. The trees and the textures of the driftwood and rocks are unlike the beaches we normally see in Alabama. I really liked it alot.

Their ceremony was very personal and private. Immediate family and friends celebrated the gorgeous day with them.

I loved being a part of Brittany and Daniel's wedding day. I also fell in love with Jekyl Island and hope to visit again.

April and Randy

I met April a few years ago while working in Birmingham. When she called to ask about if I could photograph their wedding in Savannah, Georgia, I was very excited. April and Randy have a very sweet loving relationship and I am very honored that I got to share in their wedding day.

We started the day at Canvas Hair and Makeup group in Savannah, GA.

I loved this watch. It was a gift for Randy II to remember April and his dad's wedding day and to signify their family growing together. They had a vow ceremony and presented this to him. It was very touching

We concluded at the reception for some very fun, sweet, and touching moments

A peak at summer

So many changes!!

It has been such a very busy summer. I have had so many great couples to work with and so many beautiful weddings to photograph! It took me longer than I hoped to get the new site ready but as of this morning, I have the new website up. I still have some pictures and some video that I want to add but for the most part it is finished. It is a little more simple than my last one but I think it is easier to navigate through. Since I haven't had a chance to blog each individual wedding from the summer, I picked a few and will be posting a slideshow recap on the blog soon. Also, I have a new logo if you didn't notice already!
Lastly, we will be moving again! For those of you who have been to our current office, you know how much remodeling we were dealing with. In the midst of our remodeling and trying to juggle work and office remodeling projects, a completely finished property became available across the street and it worked within our budget and offered more opportunities, so we are moving. It is beautiful with lots of exposed brick, hardwood floors, natural light and joins Corner Park on main street! It also offers us much more space than we have now. Lots of great changes and we are so excited! I feel so blessed!

A work in progress

I know it has been over a year since I last redesigned my website. Things have been so busy and I have been so blessed throughout that time that I haven't been able to work on a new site BUT it is official now that the new site is in progress!!! Look for changes coming soon!!! Also, check back for wedding updates- I have 7 weddings to blog since my last blog post, so many updates will be coming as I choose favorites from each of them!
